Would it help to put any dielectric grease on the J3 connector should I be concerned with the tiny bit of copper showing but the chip still goes on tightly.
Those are my two questions right now |

DO NOT put anything on the contacts.
As long as you use a piece of tape to hold the chip in (don't stretch the tape or make it tight...just enough to hold the chip in), you shouldn't have an issue. |

Thanks for the reply I'll probably use some heat tape from work it won't leave any residue and is super sticky.
