Got her in the shop tonight to warm up, and will be pulling the engine tomorrow.

After looking through the hole in the block it looks like the #2 rod broke right below the wrist pin, and is still strait and bolted to the crank.......

After analyzing the rod, it appears it had cracked, and kept cracking until the last 1/8 inch , then broke completely. You can see it in the piston pic's.


hmmm...........

You're right about the spray pattern.

Again, if you need any parts, I have quite a few (front cover, oil pan, pickup, etc.)
