Error msg while trying to download tunes
So, I downloaded Pegasus v2.01.0575.exe and got all the right prompts and success messages. Then, I registered all my info and double-checked to see it was right. Then, I went out and programmed my truck back to stock "0" level. Then, I read the bit about VISTA problems, so I disabled the User Account Control function. Then, I restarted the computer and reestablished an internet connection. Then, I hooked the Gryphon back up to the computer, opened Pegasus again and attempted to do Update-Targeted Functions.
This is the error msg I received on the screen word-for-word: "Unable to locate a valid Target Instruction file. This often occurs during server maintenance or when files on the server are being updated. This is may also be caused by a firewall issue or other internet related problem. Please contact Power Hungry for further assistance." Then, I clicked "OK" and it gave me this text in the Pegasus screen: "Unable to locate a Target Instruction file. Process failed Update failed. Please contact your vendor for assistance." I feel like I'm must have missed something - can anyone me please?

Try turning firewalls off. The serial numbers may not match either. Try opening Pegasus first then plug in gryphon.
If all else fails find a xp equiped computer. Lars

Are you certain your tunes are ready? What happens when you click on Updates->Current Update Status? (You don't have to have your Gryphon plugged in to do this).

The problem apparently was that when I set up the download it didn't process on the server. Or to put it more precisely, the download didn't exist. :o
Should be fixed now.

Thank you! Unfortunately, I created a new error.
The Targeted Update worked... I got this message: "Targetted Processes have completed successfully." But now my Gryphon screen reads "Connecting to Bridge. Please wait..." It's been that way for about 2 hours - I'm afraid to unplug it. I left a msg with Bill, but I know they have a lot on their plate - has anyone else dealt with this that can let me know what to do? Until then, I'll just drive my Ex around on stock.

Check your choices in the gryphon's menu to confirm installation of tunes on the gryphon once in truck.

Simply unplug the Gryphon from your PC, take it to your truck, turn the ignition to ON, and plug the Gryphon in. Things should be fine. The "bridge" message is an artifact of the earlier versions of the Gryphon. If you get any "warning" notices like I did when I plugged mine into the truck, just hit [Enter] to get past them and have fun. With my Gryphon, you have to get past three warnings after an update and then it stops bothering you. Let us know what happens, please! (And I take full responsibility for the advice I'm giving you - if things go wrong, it's my fault and I pay the bill, for Bill to fix things). (Dang! Lars beat me to it again! These youngin's are sure fast!) - Jack |

Thanks guys - it worked perfectly! The Ex is now operating on the custom tune set vs the canned tunes.
