Onlildude, what Lars is saying is, let the transmission guide you. You want to minimize shifting, But, you also don't want to run at a higher RPM than necessary. If it's shifting in and out of 4th, turn O/D off. If it starts shifting between 2nd and 3rd, move the transmission shift lever down into 2nd.

I'm going to move this thread in to the new Towing section we have. It contains useful information for people who tow.
