remove your dummy plug and see if your o rings are burnt off of it.

Btw your calibration should not matter, i have 2 04 6l, one a 03 engine, one a 04. both have up pipe welded shut, egr valves in place. 03 will learn vgt profile with nor problem, and the 04 build boost as normal. Both have the latest calibrations.

I just put new o-rings on it the last time I changed it out because I thought the same thing and it didn't help anything.

Have you taken a look at the MAF sensor?

I was playing with a 6.0 a while back and it was doing some really strange VGT/ EGR stuff, so just for giggles popped out the MAF and cleaned all the crap from the K&N off of it and the truck ran perfect afterwords.

Just an idea.

I just cleaned my MAF for peace of mind. I run a stock filter and the MAF looked nice and clean to begin with. Datalogging with my old defunct predator I can watch when the egr flow test fails and sets p0401.

Figured out that my problem is there isn't an problem. Had to pull my car trailer with my fast truck on it and on a big hill I booted it and it makes 29psi no problem with a good load on it. Also got .5 mpg better with it blocked off towing and no lag at all taking off from stops. I now know that I can properly delete it without issue. Thanks for the help.

less boost with an egr cooler delete, block off plate, dummy valve, etc is normal. when the egr system is in place and operating properly manifold gauge pressure will be higher then when there is no egr flow. its a complicated answer but basically the volume and pressure of the exhaust that is recirculated back into the intake manifold addes to the overall boost pressure.

I never thought of that. Makes perfect sense to me now that you bring it up. Thanks for the info.
