That pulley will have to be changed!
So call em up and tell them you got the wrong one or see what they have to say. 9 times outa 10 the connectors will be different also. But if they tell you to swap pulleys then that's what needs to be done. But first pick up the phone and do some questioning. You'll end up buying a belt toooo!!!! Lars

Hey lars, i just went to the gm dealer who installed it . The alternator is the correct one. Everything works great. The manager looked quite embarrased :o when i showed him. I'm going back in the morning to have the pulley changed out to the 6 groove. I dont think the belt needs changing quite yet, there was no harm done to it. I think spending 270 on the truck one day was plenty
