thanks guys well i just submitted a ticket thing to bill and i will see what happens.....tomorrow ill try and pull the Tb out and see if its dirty or not

but if it was dirty why would it have a better response in stock then in a custom tune?

and sorry that i replied late didnt have a chance to log in earlier

Ok, and dont worry, it's not very hard as long as you pay attention to the hoses and wires coming from the rest of the intake.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the stock programming allows a larger tolerance for gunk. Then after a while the adaptive learning takes effect.

i know how to take everything apart and put it back together thats not the issue

but i heard since it has a electronic module connected to it and the tbs that there is a chance it might mess up when i pull it apart

You only have to go as far as looking at the butterfly valve. You'll be able to see if it is dirty. If it is then you just get a can of throttlebody cleaner and that is when you worry about disassembling it.

for the butterfly valve do i look around the corners or just the whole inside?

Look along the edges of the plate for dark gunk and dirt.

Google "dirty throttle body" and you'll see pictures of lightly gunked to awfully gunked.

I would not use a straight carb cleaner unless the can specifically says it's meant for intakes (too). Head to AZ, Napa, etc. and get yourself a can of
