Default Phoenix chip or tuner better for gas?

I have a 97' F150 with a 4.6L and a auto tranny with a few simple mods (x-haust,cai,shorty headers). I'm trying to decide between a SCT x3 with custom tunes or a phoenix chip with 3-4 custom tunes.

Just wondering which would be better for this particular truck? I like the idea of being able to switch between tunes with ease, but is the phoenix more geared towards diesel trucks?

Thanks

The Phoenix will work fine with your truck, and if you get a gryphon CS you will be able to fairly quickly switch between tunes. I cant say anything about the SCT because I have never seen one, let alone played with one . The reason why the phoenix is aimed at diesel trucks is because they have more tuning options, we get 2 per octane level.. they have like 15 options , so the phoenix wouldnt be fully used with your truck unless you want a lot of similar tunes. The other benefit of the Gryphon is the display that is always there.
Its up to you, but all the tunes will be the same . hope I helped

Cool, thanks! I was curious if the tunes would be the same..think I've made my mind up to get the phoenix with performance for 87 and 93 and tow for 87. I just like the idea of switching on the fly and it seems like the most cost effective option to have custom tunes.
