Default chip wont program error code?

Tried programming tonight and keep getting a verify failed at 0x00000. What do i need to do?

keep getting this error code when i try to update
MSCOMM32.OCX

Tried the link on the site i found but cant get it to work.

I've uninstalled the programming 2 times and still get the same error and still can't program the chip. Believe I've got windows seven. Im giving up until I talk to you guys so I don't ruin anything

My advice is to do exactly what you are doing, uninstall then reinstall the program, and if that doesnt work then stop doing it. If you have another computer or have a friend that has a computer that runs windows XP then I vote that you go your stuff on that computer. Dont take my word for it though because I know nothing about the FU or the FU2 chips except that I better be careful who I say FU to...

Get it programmed! Thanks to Bill!!!!!! Thanks a million for the help. Im an idiot and had the chip sitting on the outside of the box while trying to program it inside of in the box- I got the moron award for the week!

Bill was absolutley awesome. Helped me super late this evening.
