Default Using Pegasus to update your hardware.

In order to update your Gryphon, the first thing you need to do is make sure that you have installed the Pegasus Update Client. Here is the download link:

http://www.gopowerhungry.com/pegasus...v2_01_0616.exe

You may also want to download the Quick Start Guide at:

http://www.gopowerhungry.com/pegasus...user_guide.pdf

Once installed, run the Pegasus application. Always make sure you have the latest software version by going to [Updates] and then [Pegasus Update Manager]. If there are any updates available, you will be notified. If not, then continue on.

To update your Gryphon with CUSTOM files, follow these simple steps:
  1. Make ABSOLUTELY SURE you return the vehicle back to stock before going any further. In most cases an update shouldn't be allowed unless the programmer is back to stock, but some early versions had a firmware bug that may cause the all the data on the unit to be lost when trying to update while still programmed.
  2. Connect the programmer to the USB cable.
  3. From the main Pegasus screen, select [Updates] and then [Custom File Download (Internet)] to begin the custom download.
  4. Follow any on-screen prompts to disconnect/reconnect the USB cable. Later versions don't usually do this, but early versions do. Make sure to read all messages before clicking [OK].
  5. Once the update is complete, you may remove the USB cable and return the unit to your vehicle.
To update with the standard "canned" programming, follow these simple steps:
  3. From the main Pegasus screen, select [Updates] and then [Gryphon Update Manager].
  4. You will be presented with two Drop-Down boxes, one for Firmware and one for Calibrations. The Firmware and Calibrations are matched and not all Firmware versions support the same Calibrations. Ideally you'll want to select the latest Firmware and then the latest Calibration.
  5. Newer Firmware versions are compatible with the latest Custom Calibrations and may be updated independently of the Custom Calibrations. If you downloaded your Custom Calibrations before 12/01/2008, you will need to contact us for a rebuild of your calibrations in order to make them work with the latest firmware.
  6. To proceed with the standard updates, select [Update All Files].
  7. Follow any on-screen prompts to disconnect/reconnect the USB cable. Later versions don't usually do this, but early versions do. Make sure to read all messages before clicking [OK].
  8. Once the update is complete, you may remove the USB cable and return the unit to your vehicle.
If you have any questions, please let us know and we will be happy to walk you through the update process.

Bring back Windows™ XP and 7.
Windows™ Vista and Windows™ 8 is a pain in my a$$!
Windows™ 10 is only slightly less annoying!
Windows™ 11 is garbage!

Much to my surprise, I'm actually quite enjoying Linux!
