Default Mpg

So on the long trip I just took my 97 expedition with a 5.4 and 37" tires I averaged 16.25 mpg highway through a mountain Pass and some steep grades. I think that's good for a 6100lb rig pushing 37" tires with 3.55 gears.

Figured I'd update this. I have put 3.73 gears in took off the body lift and have 35" tires now. Last trip pulling a 6k trailer I got 12mpg going 65-70mph up long grades then 15.5 mpg highway with no trailer the same route going 70-75mph

I just got 18.8 mpg in my '05 Expy EB going to Savanah, GA and back from Navarre, FL. A/C was on and I used the cruise control set at 2mph over the speed limit.

Did you figure out why your hwy mileage was bad a few months ago? DPFE or what? I am seeing my mileage go down on the hwy and up in town since early this year, don't know why.

Yea it was vac leaks and the dpfe. I'm up 2 mpg in town and haven't ran the highway much but it looks like I'm at 16-17 highway.
