Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip.

Default Wisper mode question

I read that you can combine wisper mode with other programs
What is the advantage or purpose of this. Thanks

The purpose is so I can talk to the wendy's drive through person at the menu, then do burnouts before I get to the window without having to change tunes , but honestly I like it for that reason, I don't have to change tunes to talk out of my window, but I can still have plenty of power available.

Good way to describe it.


As Tico said, it gives you the option to combine higher power tunes without the excess noise. One good use for it I've seen is for Wisper Tow tunes. When you are loading livestock or parked on a job site the truck isn't making a bunch of noise that'll spook animals or just be annoying to work around, then when your ready to go you don't have to remember to switch to your tow tune when pulling away. If I had a diesel, the wisper feature wouldn't even require half a thought to add onto any tow or daily driver tune.

What is the limitation of wisper mode. Allot of time when we are camping
We head out at night for some munchies, could you go real slow in wisper
Mode (campground speed) or is it strickly idling .

For that you'll need to ask one of the diesel guys. Cody may be able to keep the wisper in low load applications or low speeds. I'll leave a note for him.

It's designed strictly to be active at idle speed. Keep in mind that the idle speed will be around 550 in the Whisper Mode program (or when added to another program). Anything above 600-650 RPM, the engine will resume operation at normal engine noise levels.

Also, the Whisper Mode is only fully active (progressive timing changes relative to engine temperature) at full operating temperature because the way the program works would cause excessive white smoke that burns your eyes if it were active when the engine is cold.

The way I see it now is that I wasted a slot on just the whisper mode, I should have paired it up with another tune.

Since I wasn't smart enough to do that, tell me what program is it connected with when it's used by itself for me of the 6 positions? Is it stock tune, if I step on the throttle in the whisper tune?

I am pretty sure that it is paired with a stock tune unless you specify differently.
