2010 F-150 4.6L Programmer?
Is there a unit available for a 2010 F-150 4.6L? I can't seem to find a clear answer to this question in the forums. Any help would be appreciated. If so, has anyone had experience with it?

Yes - the Edge/Gryphon CS, CTS, and SCT XCAL3.

Thanks for the timely response. Do you have any experience with either of these units on a 2010 4.6?

I have another question about HP gains posted on the website. Are these gains rear wheel gains determined from Dyno testing? I have read extensively about the gains/advantages of other programmers and the Gryphon seems to have the greatest HP increases. Are these guys just that good or what?

Sling,
I should receive my CS tomorrow. I too was looking for answers and there's just not that much out there on the 4.6l 3v. I didn't order custom tunes yet because I'm still playing with the idea of adding a cold air intake and exhaust and wanted to wait and get custom tunes at that point. Hope to give you an update by Friday.

Just as an FYI, most people here, including me, think that most CIA's are not worth the money. There are other modifications that are less than $20 that will do the same thing for most trucks. being an 09, I believe that if you remove a small snorkel from the bottom of the air box you will get an immediate increase in hp and throttle responsivness, plus it is free! I don't know how the 09 4.6's are set up so it might be a little different, but my dad has a 2010 5.4 and I took it out for him, he said he noticed a little, but he never cared so he never paid attention enough to notice a difference. the benefit of this mod is that no custom tunes are needed, and also fyi if you do a cat-back exhaust, you won't need custom tunes. . I think Bill did a dyno run on an 09 in utah and it was 7hp and 7 torque more with the plastic piece removed. Here is a link to that info
Hope that helped save you some money |

Got my programmer a day early. I was able to program the truck to level 2 and take a test drive around the block. Drive wasn't really long enough to feel a difference. I did notice that with the tune the truck was pinging at WOT. I have emailed edges tech support and will see where that goes.

Thanks Gray. I hope you get the results you're looking for. So you got the Edge CS not the Gryphon CS?
