Default And so it begins!

Talked to the machine shop yesterday and they have the FE Engine Block all machined, painted, and ready to start putting the internals in.

The engine is going to be a bored and stroked monster topping out at 448 Cubic Inch. Also running aluminum heads and intake. Still looking at cam specs, but definitely going to be a roller cam.

Should have some more pictures next week.

Windows™ Vista and Windows™ 8 is a pain in my a$$!
Windows™ 10 is only slightly less annoying!
Windows™ 11 is garbage!

Much to my surprise, I'm actually quite enjoying Linux!

I put together two snorty "little" 390's this year. Both built with 360 pistons but the one I put in the plow truck (1970 F250) has a little smaller cam and a two-barrel Holley with a decent set of headers (FE manifolds are power-killers).

The one on the engine stand is balanced with a fairly radical (as radical as you'd expect with hydraulic flat tappets) cam and a single plane intake. I don't know what I'll put that in yet.....maybe sell it to the guy who leases the place who never gets above 1200 RPM or 15 MPH (whichever comes first) when he wears out another 360.

No fancy heads or headwork on either. I grew up with FEs and have put together quite a few low-buck ones. I have two more complete ones in a shed (the one out of the 4.6L repower and the one out of the aforementioned plow truck) that need torn down and gone through and a really decent, low mileage rebuilt shortblock that broke a camshaft I got for nothing.
