I'm wondering if you didn't have a shut down protocol issue.
You said your SYNC quit working? That may have something to do with it.
Is the SYNC working now?
If something isn't responding right during shut down the pcm will keep waking everything back up until it gets the right response or the battery goes dead. Just a thought.
Definately get it to a dealer and don't ignore it!

im going to take to dealer maybe tomorrow but one thing is, i unhucked the battery cables because my GF's dad said there might be acid build up. once i hucked it back up the SYNC works again. so you may be on to something.

I think you'd see acid buildup. (It would be over the top of the battery and would act as a short circuit even with the battery disconnected). I don't see that as a problem at all.

But, 88's idea is certainly valid. Your truck's under warranty, get this problem 'on record" with the dealer right now.

I know a lot of the 04-08s had problems eating batteries! Maybe your 09 is doing the same thing. My 08' has 15k miles on it and has had 5 batteries... Now I am running an optima yellow top and about to wire another one in. At least now if it is dead for a long time I can just deep cycle it and the battery is good to go. The truck is getting a new engine so maybe that will take care of the problem... well see.
