UNITY was right except you dont need a new tune for tire and axle gear swaps because those can be changed by the user. I've got a 4.6 and I'll say this, you probably wont be disappointed. My old 0-60's were over 9 now they are hanging in low 8's, I dont really care about 0-60 times because that is all about gearing to me. I put more emphasis on the 1/4 mile because it goes through more of the gears and powerband. My 1/4 mile times have gone from 18 or so to 16...oh and this is on 87 octane with Bill's 87 performance. But those times are nothing compared to the improved shifting.
...Yeah I guess php has some good products. :hehe: Here is a breakdown of the three levels of tuning The stock tune is from the factory and has to be set to handle everything from the person towing heavy trailers in the mountains to the person who like to hotrod around on the beach. There is a large difference in requirements for each of the two drivers but one tune has to cover them all. The canned tune breaks the categories up a little bit. Now there is a tune for the person who tows so they will have a little more of the low end power they need. Now there is also a tune for the hot rodder aswell, now they've got a high octane performance tune that gives them more power that has more gains than just the high octane alone. The custom tune is written specifically for your truck, its modifications and elevation. The tune is also written to better suit your driving habits. The custom tune is like the canned but highly polished so it will fit you and your truck like a glove. :cheesy smile: |
