trying to get ahold of you

i have been trying to get ahold of the people here at PHP for a couple days now. I want to know if i can already pay for the gryphon for my 2009 F150 FX4 and also if there is a dash mounting kit for my truck

Thanks.

88Racing Fri, December 4th, 2009 12:41 PM

They are hard to get a hold of! Aren't they?
From what I know is nothing has been released yet. So trying to prepay for one will be hard to do.
The prices haven't been set yet either.

Yeah, Thanks i got a hold of them a couple of weeks ago and they told me that the gryphon would be available for the 2009 the first of the year. Then i posted that info on FordF150.net and someone told me to go ahead and order it so i was going to try and do that.

martinoledad Fri, December 4th, 2009 10:59 PM

I know this may sound retarted but is there a way that we could set up a time that Bill or Corey could call me. So that i can order my Gryphon I really would rather do it over the phone so that way i dont mess up the form some how. If this is possible that would be great.

Thanks.

martinoledad Mon, December 7th, 2009 12:39 PM

i take it that the phones are still down. i just tried calling and im getting a busy signal.

cleatus12r Mon, December 7th, 2009 12:48 PM

No, they're probably just that busy.

martinoledad Mon, December 7th, 2009 12:54 PM

Just keep checking in! Sooner or later they will have them.

I don't blame Edge on that. They're protecting their investment in the new platform. However, you're better off waiting because then you can get the new CS for the '09. :) I'm told it should be ready in January.

Take care.

88Racing Thu, December 17th, 2009 08:40 AM

Isn't the new CS going to be around $500-$700?

Jackpine Thu, December 17th, 2009 12:20 PM

I THINK the CS is in the $500's. The CTS (what I want) is in the $600's. :yikes2:

martinoledad Thu, December 17th, 2009 10:41 PM

are the new CS really worth that much money because it will be even more once you get the custom tunes.

Here's some pix in this link. http://www.edgeproducts.com/categories.php?p_cat=80
Sorry I had to use the GM app to get the pictures.

martinoledad Fri, December 18th, 2009 06:38 AM

but besides the big screens what makes then so much more special then the regular evo's or is that it. They are charging 100 or so extra dollars for a big touch screen.

Just like tv's!
Bigger screen=more $$$
Add in the touch feature and reasearch and developement along with the color output and that would be about $100.

88Racing Fri, December 18th, 2009 08:25 AM

Forgot to add that there is an optional backup camera also for about $100-$200.
I think its just for the cts.

Correct - The big screen is needed for the backup camera picture. The camera itself is a "low-light" infra-red sensing one that has a pretty neat locking mount.

Both the CS and the CTS feature "virtual" analog gauge displays, which is good for quick interpretation and I think they can both monitor more PIDs, but I'd have to go look at the Edge webpage to be certain of that.

It IS mostly "eye candy". I'm sure the tunes cannot really be improved much unless more parameters were "tunable".

Ah... But therein lies the rub. :giggle:

Oh great. Another teaser. :whistle1:

And the 'impatience' level goes up another notch. :cry-blow:

Power Hungry Fri, December 18th, 2009 01:57 PM

Not trying to tease...

There is a much greater flexibility in the new platform. It is all script based and features are supposed to be extremely easy to implement. I've got a few preliminary calibrations put together but waiting on the OS to be able to handle the Ford communications. Edge held up the release to get all the '09 stuff in there.

In any event, once they're released we'll be ready to go with custom tunes. :)

shotgun Fri, December 18th, 2009 02:00 PM

So PHP is going to offer their own version of the CTS for the 09-10 5.4L?

This will definitely be an event! :2thumbs:

martinoledad Fri, December 18th, 2009 08:03 PM

I know you guys are saying be patient but just talking about it is making it rally hard :drool2:

Eventhough you guys with the 09-10's are sitting there drooling over it and waiting. Us guys with older trucks can run it also.
Now the demand curve went through the roof!

martinoledad Sat, December 19th, 2009 01:19 PM

but you guys with the older models can already get them. Us with the newer models have to wait

97Fone50 Sat, December 19th, 2009 02:57 PM

:woot: lol i should have waited.. OH WELL.. as long as i can get some Performance... 1 vrs 1 lol:crazy:

88Racing Sat, December 19th, 2009 06:27 PM

Ah guys?
The edge ford page doesn't even list them yet:
http://www.edgeproducts.com/categori...=69&cname=Ford
So us guys with the older trucks are still waiting for the CS + CTS also. But I know what you mean too, we are still able to use the gryphon or edge evo.

martinoledad Sat, December 19th, 2009 09:10 PM

yeah sorry i thought the CS and CST was available for the older models. That was my fault

Jackpine Sun, December 20th, 2009 01:56 PM

It's confusing!

I was told by the Edge Representative at SEMA, that the CS and CTS WERE available for F150 gassers. It's possible they just haven't updated their website.

I doubt I'll buy an Edge though, if I decide to get one I think I'd rather wait for it to be available from PHP.

And now Bill has me all excited over the possibility that additional parameters can be modified.

martinoledad Sun, December 20th, 2009 06:53 PM

i think i will do the same thing. just wait for PHP to release their version

That sounds like a good idea!
I'm going to do that also.
