boost fooler?
I am seeing conflicting information about the use of a boost fooler on a 7.3 with a hydra installed.
Is a boost fooler necessary or not? Thanks |
In general, you shouldn't need to use a boost fooler. All the normal calibrations are corrected to account for the normal boost increases at the higher power levels, but still allows the diagnostics to work in the event of a sensor failure.
With that said, some folks have run boost foolers and they claim to have seen an increase in performance. I've never seen it on my trucks or on our dyno, but I'm not going to argue with anyone's "butt-dyno". The placebo effect is real is all subjective anyway. In the end, there's no harm in running one other than the price of admission. |
My f350 was topping out at 108 mph. I added a boost fooler and was able to get 128.9 on GPS before I ran out of road.
