Tranny hunting.

Well Bill my tranny seems to be hunting a bit more lately. It still only seems to happen when I am in second gear, it changes about 400-600rpm.

Have you set it back to stock yet and tried that to make sure it the tune?

I Guess this is a custom tune that it is doing it on? rather than the canned.

Sounds like the TC is unlocking and locking? Could you change the display to monitor "Comm Gear" and verify this? The TC is locked when you see a padlock symbol.

Tried that. I t is not the tq and it also does not show it jumping in and out of gears.

The only time I've ever seen what you're describing here was in 1st gear at idle and it was when I tried advancing the spark by a measly 0.25 degrees. The idle speed started "hunting". I set the spark advance back to zero and it went away. I don't suppose you possibly tried advancing the idle, did you?

And, if not, I wonder what would happen if you retarded the spark by 0.25 degrees in the tune you're using? I'm not saying this is the BEST fix, but any additional information might help Bill adjust things.

Mine is in second gear and when I go through a school zone. The hunting stops the second I let off on the throtle, then goes away for a day. It only happens in second going about 30k. Bill where are you???? I sent him a PM a few days ago... He is just so busy...:help::help:
