Another screen freeze

Just installed the Gryphon today and got the truck programmed. But I cannot access the setup menu at all. As soon as I attempt to access it from the menu screen, the top half stays on the menu screen and the bottom half is another of something... and the unit freezes.

I have to hit the menu button again to get it to do ANYTHING....and that just restarts the unit....

Ideas?

Well... that's a new one. :(

The first thing I'd recommend is to return the vehicle back to stock and use the Pegasus software to update your unit. This will clear out the firmware as well as any possible invalid "stored" settings.

If you need any help doing an update, let me know and I'll be happy to walk you through it.

I've tried both the firmware and calibration updates. When I try to update...after the process is done. The unit screen stays on "Connecting to Bridge" Please Wait....

It never goes back to the Disclaimer screen like the update program says...

Do I have a bad program or something??

Okay. I didn't think the updating worked but apparently so.
I re-installed the unit in my truck and now everything on it works...

Thanks,
Mark

Mark,

That's my fault for not being clear on the update process for the 97-03 programmers. Those units will not show the disclaimer screen but instead will stop on the "Connecting to Bridge" screen. Incidentally, the "Bridge" is the communications circuit built into the OBD-II cable for the older vehicles (up to 2003).

Glad everything is straightened out now. If you have any further problems, definitely give us a shout. :D

Have a good weekend.
