A Couple Questions

Hi I have an 02 F350 7.3L Right now its basically stock just a K&N cold air intake. Probably putting in a larger exhagust down the road when the money/wife allows it. So for now its looking like a chip and am new to the whole thing and by no means an expert.

I've been looking at chips/programmers and am pretty sure I want the chip for the shift on the fly and more powerlevel options.

1 How commen is it to get codes when using the chip especially when using some of the higher horsepower options?
With the chips you don't have the code clearing capabiltyies if I go with a chip should I also be looking at purchacing a code reader so I can clear them or is it not really an issue I don't want to be driving around with the check engine light on 24/7

2 What is the approximate timeframe for delivery to Canada after an order?

Also I am putting in the EGT,Boost& trans gauges

Thanks

Answers:

1. The only code you should get will be a P1211 which is a "nag" code usually associated with a high pressure oil pump that it is unable to keep up with the demand of the injectors. It will not hurt anything. The check engine light will go out after 2-5 minutes after it sets or after a key on/off cycle. The check engine light won't be on 24/7.

2. The chip will leave 2-3 days after we get your order form and paid invoice. Shipping time takes a few days to Canada and the shipping is nearly $35.

I have had my chip installed for almost a year, and with a boost fouler installed, even on the 120hp setting I have never had my check engine light come on
