Stalls

:sigh:Sometimes when I'm getting into hard (burnout, wholeshot) it will quit after i let off.Doesn't seem to do it all the time, happened twice last night.2000 psd with php tunes 3.5-4inch out the back, stage 1 injectors.Any thoughts?

Don't let off...lol I don't have a clue, but I'm sure someone will have some ideas.

MY first guess would be the IPR % is off a bit, but this is not usually an issue with stocked HPO pumped trucks.

mod11 Mon, February 7th, 2011 07:27 AM

Soo,should I rebuild it or is it a tune issue?

907DAVE Mon, February 7th, 2011 11:22 AM

Could just be a case where the IPR cannot respond quick enough.

Not sure if cleaning it out will be enough to cure your issue, but does not hurt to try.

Was reading last night on deisel bombers about a similiar situation, refered to as defueling.Map sensor shuts down fuel.Little gadget known as overboost annihilator, anyone ever heard or used one?

Robert6401 Thu, February 10th, 2011 04:32 PM

Shouldn't need one with Bill's tunes. I think he tricks the PCM so it won't throw that code.

mod11 Thu, February 10th, 2011 08:40 PM

It's not the code I'm worried about it is the stalling problem,it is only when i lift after HARD excell.Just a little embarassing after a good wholeshot.I know,Iknow, shouldn't be doing burnouts with a dually but its still cool.:cheesy smile:When I finally grow up they'll plant grass on me!:evillol:

Robert6401 Thu, February 10th, 2011 09:26 PM

I understand that you don't care about the code, what I'm saying is that Bill puts a code on his tunes that doesnt allow for the defueling you are talking about. I don't know what your problem is but unless bill or Cody chime in and say otherwise I don't think your truck is defueling.
