Doman53 is on a distinguished road
Default Hey from Richardson (Dallas) Texas

I'm Driscoll from Texas, everyone calls me DO,in emails at least. New to this forum. I am here to try to learn what I need to do to make my truck perform better.
I have a 2006 F350 Super Duty that is stock except for a 4" Rancho lift with tires and an aux fuel tank and 5th wheel hitch. My wife and I travel around with a 40' Raptor Toy Hauler and shoot sporting clays for grins.
Running the stock truck I have blown the head gasket, so that has been replaced with a one piece and we finally found the pinhole in the EGR assy that was leaking coolant so I think I have the overheat issue resloved.

Now my problem is pulling the "beast". I hope to upgrade to the new 2011 F450 when they become available so I want to get what I can out of my truck with out dumping a bunch of money into intakes, exhausts, etc that I will probably not get a return out of in a year or so.

Since I have had it into the dealer I have no idea if the FICM has been reprogrammed although I swear that I have lost 1.5 MPG in towing since it was repaired (twice).

Saw an article that talked about the FICM and that lead me here.

So here I am hat in hand. I want to add a programmer, but don't want to melt anything so it has to be able to give me EGT, etc. I was looking at the Edge Juice with Attitude, but it looks like I need the Gryphon with a highway performance (mpg) program and one that will help with towing a 15,000# rig.

Tell me what ya'll think.

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving,

DO

I'll have to take a picture of the truck.
