Sorry, buddy - it's just the instructor instinct in me that won't go away!
For some reason, I feel the need to "explain" things, even when I don't know what I'm talking about!
However, the cost/benefit ratio of using high octane gas vs "regular" is pretty straightforward.
I'm MOST interested in submitting to Corey a rewrite of the "Custom Options" section of the Gryphon manual. This COULD be a problem, of course, since it's really an Edge manual and is protected by copyright. But, it is obviously a very poorly understood process, and, I'd like to make it more easy to understand.
I know it's taken me at least a year to absorb what I have about this "feature". And, I'm still not sure I've gotten it right! :o
The engineer in me loves numbers! If the input values are correct, the results don't lie! The trick is to find valid input values. And, it's easy to overlook something or see input data in the wrong way. My thought that HIDs ran "hotter" than normal headlights is an example of that "misthinking".
But, Lars, I appreciate your support, and I enjoy trading thoughts with you!
