Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled) Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip. If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here. |

I have a 2000 ford excursion 7.3 and I just installed my chip today.
1. i remember corey telling me something about dissconnecting a red box under the dash to get the theft lift to stop blinking but can anyone clarify exactly where it is? 2. i was messing around on the 80hp daily driver tune and first to second gear is awesome, got the tires to bark, but from 2-3 it doesnt want to shift on full throttle, it tries but it keeps jumping? i guess, it will shift as soon as i let go of the pedal, i really dont know how to explain it, it tries to go into third then releases then does it again, probably 2-3 times per second, basically its bucking. what could be causing this? do i need a new torque converter or does the transmission need to be serviced with some type of band adjustment? if anyone could point me in the right direction i would appreciate it |

no its not chattering, you feel it start to grab the next gear then lets go, basically it cant make up its mind if it wants to go to third or stay in second so it keeps switching back and forth

Does it do it in the 65T, 140X, or SS programs?
As far as the PATS module goes, it's under the dash just above the center hump in the floor. It has a RED connector on it.

Ok I need help, do I need to pull off a specific panel to find the PATS? I'm looking under the steering column trying to see above the floor hump but I see no red connector, the only red connector I saw was the switch for my brake pedal, anyone have a picture or a pinpoint location and what dash panel I need to remove to get to it?

It appears to be located right above the accelerator pedal.

awesome, thanks for the help, thats exactly where it is, its to the right of the accelerator on the firewall, but the red connector is to the brake switch and the PATS module has a green connector, well at least mine does, i was looking for red and just decided to pull the green one and try it to see if it worked and thats what it was
as for my transmission problem, seems i was a little low on fluid, i added a quart and its reading on the stick now but it still bucks a little, but it only does it about twice then it kicks in gear and im good to go, might need a little more fluid, ill check again tomorrow |
