Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled)
Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip.

If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here.

Default Choosing codes for my truck

I plan on geting the phoenix 6 postion chip for my 2003 f250 7.3L truck pretty much stock except i have a s&b cold air intake, walker BTM muffler, and issopro gauges i just had a few quesitons.

I want to get two modes the 80hp mode and 65hp tow modes, i also want to get the stock mode for sure. That leaves me with a choice for 3 more modes. I was thinking about going with the 80hp daily driver, 100hp performance and 120 race mode.

On the 65hp and 80hp daily driver modes will i notice better fuel economy from one over the other?

I am also curious how much noticeable differance i will see between the performance modes. Is it worth it to get more than one of them?

And last if i do go with the 120hp race mode being i have a truck with powdered metal rods do i risk any internal damage with that? Other than the rods is there any concerns running the higher hp chip?

Sounds like you got a pretty good idea of what you want & they sound good to me. I don't believe you have to worry about the 120race & your rods, pretty sure Bill would not sell you anything to hurt your truck. BTW that is my favorite tune period, I like the shifts & the pep. The 80dd is good but I cannot leave it there long enough to get any mileage #s, if my trailer is not hooked up I just leave the 120r on. One thing for sure is it makes the truck run really good & the throttle response is nice & smooth.

Those sound good.. Since your looking for 3 more, I'd add at least the 1200 RPM high idle. The others, are just up to you, maybe a smoke show tune?

I just got mine the other day, I got it with Minotaur.. My truck isnt stock, but for now I'm running the standard tunes since the custom tunes aren't done yet.. Having ran Hypertech when the truck was brand new, then moving to the Edge Evolution, I can tell ya that the PHP tunes are light years beyond the others. I'm a Edge dealer, as well as Hypertech, Superchips, etc. None of them compare.. I should have done this a very long time ago. I'm excited to see what the custom tunes will do for the truck, as well as when I start changing things around..

I have no clue whats going to happen with mileage, and have no way to compare since I did a ton of work to the truck the past few weeks ( I was getting 12 MPG on a good day, truck used to get 18 on average, it had issues to say the least ).. But I've been driving around on the 80HP towing tune, I just like the way it feels.. I've got the Fuel Sipper, 80 DD tune, the high idle, 140, and the 140 lopey idle on the chip. I dont have enough run time on any of them to give you any idea's on what you should get, but either way I bet you'll be happy.
