Two Codes
My Truck 2010 5.4L Fx4
edge CTS programmer I just put new tires on my truck and wanted to correct the speedometer. So I downloaded the stock programming. Once complete I selected the stock programming again and set the tire size. All seemed well after initial drive last night. This morning wake up to two codes P0605 and P1000. After reading I turned them off and went to work. Started truck up again and codes appeared. After Lunch I will be returning all settings back to stock. I also replaced my air filter 1 day prior to updating my tire size. I am currently waiting on custom tunes. Do I need to try to reinstall the tire size? leave it all stock untill custom tunes? Any help would be appriciated. Thanks |

The p1000 is a relearn code....
The p0605 is a corrupt file code.... When changing tire size a canned/custom tune needed to be used......using stock programming it shouldnt be able to be done....

So after all this I returned the truck back to stock and still have the P1000 code (re learn). I am sure it will go away after re learning is complete.
I did not know that using the stock programming and using the custom features to modify the tire size could not be done. thanks for the information |

You can change the tire size only when a canned/custom tune is going to be loaded....
