no that it is eastern washington in Spokane!

all we had was about 12' of snow from the 18th till after xmas and now we have severe flooding after the snow melt and heavy rain

luckily i live right in the city, so no flooding. except for a little water that got into our basement

Hey Taylor! I love your neck of the woods! I lived in Seattle for a while in '04, I had an apartment there downtown. I fell in love with the whole area. My wife and I just spent a week this past summer exploring the peninsula.

I grew up in south Louisiana, it's always gray in the winter. I was in Seattle for fall and winter I'm sure that's why I love it so much, it reminds me of Louisiana in the winter, just a little colder.

I spent a little time in Sequim. Beautiful area there around the inlet, not to mention a helluva view of the mountains, including Mount Olympus. Absolutely breathtaking. Wouldn't mind taking Corey and the boys there sometime for a vacation.

Grew up in Florida myself. We'd get clouds in the summer (every afternoon about 3:30 ) but winter is usually quite clear. Cool, but clear.

great views. we go out there some times to this gun range, that has the craziest trap range ever.

extremely fun!

also sequim gets less rain in a year than L.A

Yeah, Sequim was where we stayed for the week and made day trips all around the peninsula. (Did you know Robbie Knievel lives in Sequim?) I was amazed when we went out on Dungeness Spit that there were cactus growing. They only get like 12" of rain a year is what the park ranger told us, compared to 140" average on the other side of the mountain range. Here's a few of the pictures I took while we were there.

Cape Flattery:

Deer Park:

Dungeness Spit:

Hurricane Ridge:

Ruby Beach:

I love it up there, I'm sure we'll be going back. That was easily the most relaxing vacation I've ever had and so much to see, if you love the outdoors it's a great spot to visit for sure. We have considered moving to Washington after we retire...there or Louisiana.
