Just about everyone that I talk to up here runs 2-stroke in there diesels. Most people use Yamalube (Yamaha's brand) and swear by it. They all say they get better MPG's and the engine runs smoother and quieter.
I personally have not tried running any yet, the only thing I have run is ATF with similar results. Of course during the summer months my pickup runs on a special blend of SVO so I dont think any more oil is needed.
