I had one at work, that was a virgin, started like you gave it a shot of ether, had a great tow/haul, and the quiet idle. Took it in for the annual safety and emisions, and the damn ford dealer decided to flash it. That was last week.  I was not happy, the only other one I have had its last flash Oct of 03. Still runs like a SOB! Compared to the truck that have been flashed.
