That looks mucho painful. I hate the way the bone is separated and not really lined up anymore. Personally, I'd opt for something to connect the bone back together in it's former "shape".
I think a plate and a bit of welding would make you good as new! Hope you're right-handed! And, like the others said, I'm grateful your daughter's OK. - Jack
