Default ficm flash and maybe ecm/tcm

I have a few questions that maybe someone on here could give me some insight on. I have on order the programmer to flash my swamps 58v ficm. I have talked to php but I still would like some more info. I have a 2004 with vxbc9n8. I have a sct with innovative extreme street and gearhead srl+. I am wondering if changing my strategy back to the recommended vxbc4 and having new tunes made for the vxbc4 would be worth it. Will I see an improvement in mpg? Do I have a good chance of needing a new ebp sensor? If I will see gains in any way then I want to go for it but I have heard that with the sct tuning it might not be worth it. If anyone has some info please let me know. And thanks for taking the time to help.

Shane
