Just as an FYI, most people here, including me, think that most CIA's are not worth the money. There are other modifications that are less than $20 that will do the same thing for most trucks. being an 09, I believe that if you remove a small snorkel from the bottom of the air box you will get an immediate increase in hp and throttle responsivness, plus it is free! I don't know how the 09 4.6's are set up so it might be a little different, but my dad has a 2010 5.4 and I took it out for him, he said he noticed a little, but he never cared so he never paid attention enough to notice a difference. the benefit of this mod is that no custom tunes are needed, and also fyi if you do a cat-back exhaust, you won't need custom tunes.
. I think Bill did a dyno run on an 09 in utah and it was 7hp and 7 torque more with the plastic piece removed.
