Boost leaks can include the turbo outlet o-ring, intake boots, intake manifolds or any combination of the three.

Looking for the exhaust leak is the easiest way to tell, you will see the soot around the problem area.

What are your boost #'s when EGT's are high?

About 10-12psi @ 2000-2250rpm.

Do you got leaking up pipes?

Don't see any leaks on the exhaust side. Everything is tight on the boost side. Talked to a "turbo" guy, he said the boost #'s that I am seeing are low and the turbo wheels could be worn, which could be the higher than wanted egts. Does this sound right?

Yes, there is a little play. The fins do not appear to be bent or damaged. The truck had a k&n on it for at least 60,000mi. I put the tymar on it when I discovered how bad they are for a diesel. Not having seen a new wheel, I have no reference if it is "dusted".
