| Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled) Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip. If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here. |

For a 97 with stock injectors, I would shy away from the smoke show only because the 80P will give you about all the stock injectors are capable of. There isn't much sense in paying $25 for a tune that won't be any different than the 80P. The lope idle is neat if you're into that thing, but I'm afraid the novelty of it will wear off quickly, especially with an automatic transmission. Holding the brakes against a surging engine isn't much fun for long. With a 3" downpipe, there is very little worry of excessive EGT with stock injectors as long as you keep the engine in a decent RPM range while towing. Lugging will create a lot of smoke and high EGT.

All I can do is offer suggestions and try to save you some $$$ in the process.
The order form won't allow you to put the high idle in position #1 but if you just tell us that's where you want it in one of the "fill in" boxes, we can do it.
