At this point, I'll probably have to get involved and see where the problem is. It's usually related to a problem with the cable and it will most likely need to be replaced. If you can get with me next week after we get back from vacation I'll be happy to help get this cleared up for you.

Just a question Bill, would a defective OBDII cable cause the errors he's getting when plugged into Pegasus? Did it somehow corrupt the firmware (or the internal state of the Gryphon) to the point where Pegasus simply cannot communicate or make sense of anything?

And, if this is the case, is it possible the cable itself is OK but that the damage is confined either to the software or the hardware (probably software) in the Gryphon itself?

I only ask in an attempt to understand how damage can occur.
