Just a note.....I've recently ran my Pegasus and I still have the "targeted function" option. The program hasn't performed any "self updates". Should I do a manual update. I keep being told that if I do an "update all", I will lose my custom tunes.....but if I did, can't I just go back to "targeted functions" to restore the custom tunes? I'm only interjecting here becuase it's relative to my current situation. I just had my 87 perf tune updated in the attempt to eliminate a performance issue.

From what I can tell you are correct. update pegasus, update the firmware on the Gryphon, then use the targeted files function, or whatever it's name changes to, to upload the custom tunes. Bill keeps those on the servers for at least a year, and usually longer from what I understand.
Enjoy the tunes! |

Quick update.....I've manually updated my Pegasus software, firmware, canned calibration, and also successfully reinstalled my custom calibration once all that was done.
All is well....I like being up to date. Sorry to the OP for somewhat hi-jacking this thread. I consider my topic relative, so I figured it might help you to learn the overall process as well. That's what the forum is here for. Good luck to you. |

Your post is fine, BigSur. You MAY have been using a "very" old version of Pegasus that didn't look for updates to itself each time you start it.
Regardless, updating Pegasus DOES NOT hurt the tunes in the Gryphon. It simply updates the Pegasus computer application itself. And, to anyone wondering, you can update Pegasus manually by clicking on [Updates]->[Pegasus Update Manager]. If it finds an update it will tell you and then you will have to click on [Updates]->[Apply Updates] in the "popup window" that appears. - Jack |
