| Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled) Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip. If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here. |

I would unplug it but its averaging about 5 degrees here lately and it really helps with the warm up. Earlier today I put in an order for a chip, is it possible to have the problem fixed in the tunes that will be on the chip(with the exception of high idle)? There wasn't an option for that in the ordering process but I would really like the valve to stay open. How much extra would it cost?

I don't know what (or if) Corey will charge you for that when you're invoiced.

Two threads merged.
I have been running my 95 with the EBPV effectively turned off for the last 5 months. I just turned it back on but changed it so it's never on above 1100 RPM....heck, it even comes on at an idle now. I'll probably leave it that way. |

Mines gutted and gone, that pos was irritating and I agree it did little to nothing to help warm up, regardless.

So the note that I got from Corey yesterday concerning the order.......
Not real pleased with that. However, your tunes call for no exhaust backpressure valve actuation. |

Sorry. I didn't mean to get anyone in trouble if I did. I just told her you said it wouldn't be a problem and a relatively easy thing to change. I got the chip in the mail today and the paper it came with says I have a 65 hp tow tune instead of a 65 hp daily driver on the invoice. Are those pretty much the same for a manual transmission? I'm not too concerned about it, just curious.

for a manual they are almost identical, I have the same tune on my phoenix and I don't notice much of a difference between that and the 80dd... just some extra smoke with the 80
