Keep an eye on your tach too, if it does not register any RPM while cranking chances are your CPS is bad.
Also, watch ICP when its not starting. If it does not build to over 500psi the engine will not start. |

A lab scope or DMM will do it too, you just need to e quick enough to catch it when it fails.
