The dash-mounted Gryphon does NOT work on a 94-97. There have been incidences of communications issues and support for those vehicles was removed.
The Game-Boy style Evo can be upgraded with new calibrations. Cost is $60.00 per level. Honestly, most 7.3L folks (especially OBS) go for the Phoenix chips. They are a bit more flexible being able to shift on the fly and work really well. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. It does help. Next time Dad starts complaining about his truck not shifting when he wants it, I'll start talking to him about getting the phoenix or upgrading his edge and getting some custom tunes.
