Hard cold weather starts with fuel sipper tune
Have been running the 65 hp fuel sipper tune all summer and fall. Now that we are getting cold weather in southeastern Wyoming, we are noticing hard cold starts. Temps 10f to 30f. I changed to stock and seemed to start easier.
GPR tests good (stancor) Glow plugs all hood Remanned ad code injectors with new o rings earlier this summer Batteries test good and taking/holding good charge New alternator charging at 14.4 and voltage regulator works Winter fuel with power service below 30 dosage Plugging in or not So any opinions on this tune and cold weather starts? Better tune for cold weather starts? Last edited by scrapcan; Tue, January 17th, 2023 at 02:58 PM. |

I'd have to look at the file.
What is your PCM Box Code and what calibration are you running?

Late response
Sorry for not getting back here sooner.
I have been checking to make sure I do not have HPOP or HPO System issues. Had to put together a gauge to check oil rail pressures. Not completely sure about the IPR yet but pressures seem ok for a 335K mile truck. The truck is a 2001 f-350 cc 4x4 long bed auto with PMT2 PCM. I am running the canned tunes for this calibration from the server. I will have to pull the hex codes for them when I get home. |
