Help Gas Pedal issue

here is some info

2004 f150 5.4 xlt 2wd with 3 custom tunes but only use custom 91 octane

so my issue is that when i press my gas pedal it doesnt go until i really press on it...so basically i have no clue what it is

for example: when i press the pedal it doesnt move or accelerate until i push the pedal down about 3/4 on an inch or inch...and it has a really late throttle responce...

i cant remember if i had this issue before the programmer or not....

can anyone please help?

It SOUNDS like the truck isn't downshifting or having the torque conver unlocking as soon as you'd like.

Try lowering the torque converter lock/unlock points for the 4th gear.

How long had you been runing the custom tune? How long have you been running stock?

I think there is a way to "recalibrate" the gas pedal, but I can't remember how to do it. (It may be in the owner's manual.) 88Racing posted on this several months back and it involves depressing the pedal all the way with the ignition ON and engine off maybe while you're reciting "Ford is God!" and so on. I don't have time to search for it right now - have to get to a Grandson's birthday.

Gas pedal.
I'll look for the relearn proceedure.

[short time later]

Found it!
Just disconnect the battery for 5 minutes.
This will cause the PCM/ECM to reboot and the Keep Alive Memory to be erased so it can start a relearn proceedure.
You can do this while replacing the switch.

Peace!
Since it seems like the only thing you need to do is to try disconnecting the battery for 5 mins do clear the memory, then do that. The pedal pushing probably wont do anything but I copied it for refrence that these were the posts.
