Putting on hose clamps is a bit more tedious but it's peace of mind for me....because dropping a tappet means a lot more work! They will fall into the pan and there's no easy way to get them back in with the engine in the frame.

Interesting what you have to do to get to the cover. Must be a real treat pulling that cam out.
