No blocks on the 2wd trucks. I pulled out the thick-*** bottom leaf on each side (1 inch there) as well as out one of the main springs on each side. There are 4 mains stock...now there are 3. New U-bolts and new center bolts. $48 in parts and 1.5 hours worth of time are worth every penny. Rides a good bit better too. I will get wheel spacers for the newer wheels. Even the stock ones are sucked in a bit more than I like, so 2" spacers with the 20x8 wheels will get me where I want to be.

Thanks, CJ.
Since 1993, I have always had at least two trucks, one being a '73 F-100 2wd that I ran the wheels off of. It just always seemed to me that having a 4wd truck meant that I had to keep it in operable condition at all times (ulititarian vehicle). The 2wd has always just been a fun vehicle that was good for stress relief. I have since parked the '73 for a while....I just lost interest (sold the engine anyway and didn't want to waste any more time on a gasser). This truck is no different as it is fun and very easy to drive. However, I am bored with the power now. It's quick, but it's not as "WOW!" as it was the first time I drove it. Funny thing is, I never got bored with the power of the '73 and it made a whopping 235 HP with a stock-ish 460. This truck is heavier....and is likely in the 290-310 range right now.

Ha ha. No. I just got sick of the obnoxious whistle all the time. It wasn't loud in the cab, but it was completely unbearable outside the truck......and I do leave it running any time I'm doing something in town. I'm pretty cognizant of the things I do and how they effect other people, and having a stupid-loud truck idling away at 1200 RPM in the grocery store parking lot just makes others .

I just bought a set of wheels. It's just too bad that I have to wait another 2.5 months until I go home to install them. I didn't really have the money for these, but for the price I wasn't going to let them get away. They're not the Harley wheels that I pictured above, but they are very similar and they are 20's. $200 for the set.......
I found them on the local Bozeman, MT craigslist on Friday afternoon and had my friend pick them up after he got off work. Now I just have to come up with the $600 for 305/50 tires and $450 for the spacers.
