Default Burrrr its cold outside!!!

Hello from Iowa!!!

Brand new owner of a pristine bone stock 2002 F150 XL V6 4.2L.

It has 213,000 Miles on it and I stumbled upon PHP from F150Forum.com. Lots of people over there seem to be happy with PHP.

I have no mods on the truck yet, but am looking to get the most MPG out of it.
Its got an automatic transmission and looking for recommendations to get the best mileage out of this guy (i'm used to about 18-21 from my 99 Ranger V6 4.0L)

PHP definitely looks like they've got the the best support group of people (just from what I've read!!!)

Thanks!
Dave

Howdy there, Iowa! Congratulations on the purchase.

To start with, make sure you cover all the normal bases: Tire pressures, fresh fluids, clean air filter and fuel filter. These will definitely impact fuel economy. A programmer can often help fuel economy, with many users seeing about 1 MPG increase along with the performance increases.

Take care and stay warm.
