|
When did you order your CS/CTS? It will be on your invoice.
|
got everything for my truck june of 08 in iraq came home jan 09 it worker for about 3months been trying to get it fixed eversince
|
Ok, now things are making sense. Do you have the regular gryphon that looks like the Edge Evo? The CTS didn't come out until this January. What is wrong with the programmer?
Also what kind of truck do you have and what year is it? |
yup its the gryphon my trucks a 02 f150
|
Hmm, sounds like a cable issue. I'll try to get their attention. :thumbs up yellow:
For now can I get you to update your User CP? |
it dose not do any thing cant read codes, reset to stock or anything elce an iv had to have my truck flashed twice now needs it once more if i want to go back to stock
|
no iv got ahold of them once when it first happend an they emaild me a file to fix it but with the wrong s#
|
i dont know what you mean ... user cp?
|
There is a link we mods use for the user cp but I can't seem to get it correct right now. To find it, scroll to the top where a blue box has your user name, last visit, private message mailbox. Just below that there is a darker blue box and on the far left is User CP.
Since you had the truck reflashed by the dealer you will need to have it unlocked. The programmer is "married" to the original stock tune from when you first programmed, which is now gone. That and a new cable should have you fixed up if the cable really is the problem. |
my budy turned the truck on when it was program a tune in the last time . so i took it to ford they flashed it worked fine. i retuned it work good for a bit now i cant reset it to anyof the tunes says f2 missing fille
|
Are you sure it wasn't either a D2 error or F1 error?
If it was an F1 error then try this: 1. Leave the ignition key in the ON position. 2. Disconnect the Gryphon at the OBDII port. 3. Plug the Gryphon back into the OBDII port. 4. After getting to the main screen, wait 15 seconds for needed parameters to be loaded. If it was a D2 error then we can almost be sure that an important part of the cable or the programmer failed. Does the programmer light up and show the little parameters when your driving? |
i turn it on it says unable to locate splash try to tune it comes up f2 missing file but all the gages work on it when im driving just cant scan it for tbl codes or change any thing
|
Ok, this is a new one for me.
Try taking it out of the truck and updating it. If you dont already have it, download the program Pegasus from the PHP website. Power Hungry Performance - Customer Support Completely install pegasus before you plug the programmer in. Once you have pegasus installed and the programmer is in, go to Gryphon Update Manager and go through the steps to resetting the programmer. |
im not sure witch one it is?
|
1 Attachment(s)
Here is a portion of a screen shot that shows the link from the PHP support page with the download.
Attachment 627 Let me know if this helps. |
the gryphon icon is the only one not lit up i cant go to it
|
Did you go to the "PEGASUS™ and PHOENIX FLASH (FU)™ SOFTWARE " and click on the white bar below it? That is a drop down menu. Next select "Pegasus Update Client". Keep an eye out for a yellowish bar to appear towards the top of the screen saying Internet Explorer(if that is what you're using) is blocking stuff.
|
everything seams to be installed i can go to all the fuctions but that one
|
So you've got pegasus installed?
If so go get the programmer and plug it in. You should be able to go to Updates>Gryphon Update Manager |
sure do i just cant click on that one says version id error uinable to determ gryphon id
|
Ok, well then that is about as far as I can get. You will need to have Bill reset the programmer. To do that you need to start calling tomorrow until you reach them and they will help you set everything up. I have already left them a note on the mod board.

Adam - calm down!
There is no way in the world that anyone can make sense of what you are saying here. All I can tell is, you have a Gryphon that doesn't seem to work for you. From your posts, I also suspect you did not read the User Manual. One of your (almost unintelligible) posts makes it sound like you had your truck flashed at a dealership while it was tuned to some setting above stock. You are warned not to let that happen in the User Manual. If this is the case, your Gryphon is "locked" and you will have to pay to get it "unlocked". Now, if you are able to follow simple directions, please go to your User Profile and fill out as much information there as you can. In particular, enter your "hex" code (calibration) and your unit's serial number. Next, did you ever install Pegasus? Longshot keeps asking you about this and you keep dancing around the answer. If it IS installed, does it tell you the Gryphon is "connected" when you plug your Gryphon into your PC? If it doesn't, you'll need to uninstall Pegasus and the drivers, then install everything again. Here's a link for how to fix a faulty Pegasus installation: http://forum.gopowerhungry.com/faqs-...tallation.html Follow it carefully if you need to do this. Now, if you REALLY want help, calm down and THINK before you write! Tell us EXACTLY what your problem is! - Jack |
Longshot270,
Thank you very much for taking the time to try to walk Adam through this. Yes, he has an issue and I believe it to be an issue like Jack pointed out....a reflash while vehicle was "tuned". I'll make sure that Bill gets to this as soon as we get a little more clarification on what's going on here. Jack, Thank you very much for the last post. Even I could figure it out after that!! |
I'm also going to move this thread into the Gryphon forum, since it appears Adam does not have a CS/CTS unit?
- Jack |
yes i have instaled ever thing i need to. an yes it also say
(connected-type 2) when i pluge it in to my computer a verison ID error box pops up an says- Unable to determine Gryphon Version- |
the s# on the back says 1331 on the sticker when i plug it in it says 00004751 in the lower right
|
Now that's service!
|
As always, GREAT service!
