It might really be needed if you coupled the pulleys with e-fans, since they add to your electrical load.

Yeah, efans are in the works. Especially now that Summit is sending me a $140 gift certificate for my troubles. Still lingering between building my own kit or buying one. Just can't justify Troyer's $425 set, Flex-a-lite is right up there in price too.
