I notice you're running an evaluation copy of Windows 7, could this be contributing to the problem? (Nice wallpaper, by the way).

As Corey indicated, I don't think Windows 7 is the problem. It obviously reads the Programmer ID (PID) of 'BC' but for some reason the programmer isn't correctly identifying the chip as indicated by the CID 'FF' - FID 'FF'.
I'm not sure if it's something simple with the chip or not but will most likely replace it it just to ensure there's not going to be any further issues. We'll see when it arrives.  I am excited though that it appears that everything is working on W7. I guess I may have to pony up and give Uncle Bill a few more bucks so we can have a decent test platform. We'll keep you posted.

I agree, I dont think its windows 7, I had done the original burn with it and worked ok.
Bill u can download the free beta version at microsofts website if u really want to for a test platform. But you must before 8/20/09. Version is good for one year. Groovy Chick, I will let u know when its sent.

Very cool! I just need to find a computer that I can put it on without worrying about breaking something important. I'm sure not gonna use my main PC or either of my laptops as I can't afford to have anything go wrong on those. I have another PC I can put together (just need some memory) and throw a version on there.
Does the test version require a prior install or will it work as a fresh install? Guess I'll go check for myself.  Thanks for the heads up.
