Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled) Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip. If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here. |

Of course more power, 65hp had to get used to the throttle as it was a bit touchier (sp), but I did notice that for given speeds I am not given it as much throttle. When I do get on it I do have some smoke but not blacking out the road or intersection and I like that, its more of a haze. EGTs are about the same. Tranny shifting rocks, before if I was in 3rd at 30-40 mph and got on it there was no downshift, now there is and I can get out of my own way. Anti-theft works well even with the ol' lady wanting to go somewhere and she dont know how to work it.

MPG update. I just fueled and I got 18.3. My OD decided it would work at about 3/4 tank on my front tank and I ran it down to almost 1/4 tank. So I am gonna try and go for a record on this fill up. My best ever that I have gotten has been 22.8 in town. Time to beat that.

Wow! 22.8 in town???
I could get 22 all highway... usually I'm around 16-18 mpg. I do have a tendency to get on the throttle hard fairly often though.

After a little over a month, I am averaging 19 mpg with very little highway driving. I think I could get more if I had more 45 mph speed zones so it can get into OD. What is probably the most suprising to me is the "smoke show" tune. I have very little smoke but it seems to have a bit more giddy up than my 65 performance which has some smoke but still not much. I am also hitting about 2 psi higher in boost with lower EGTs.
