I'm aware they are closed to the public this week. I have an e-mail into both Bill and Corey. So I'm hoping to hear back from one of them....or if I'm lucky, the mad scientist will make a personal appearance in this thread.

You could ask for a bill of sale. Beyond that, if someone's reported theirs stolen and provided the S/N to Edge or PHP, possibly you'd find out that way (if you asked for the serial number) before buying it. But, I doubt if the second idea is worth much - a bill of sale to whoever you are buying it from is pretty safe.

It probably won't connect properly to your truck if it hasn't been set back to stock before you get it. It CAN be set back to stock by Edge, but there's a fee.
If it IS at stock, you'll see the display and a small "zero" in the upper right hand corner of the screen once you acknowledge the HEX code screen. And, if it IS at stock, then I doubt it was stolen.

Well I heard from Bill.....so now I'm and expert. LOL Seems that I have about a 10% chance that the custom tunes will work. If the Hex codes are not the same when I plug it in and check, all I have to do is hook the Gryphon up to the Pegasus software, set it back to stock, canned tunes...and I'm good. No custom tunes, but Bill can build me some more for my setup.
